[00:01:44] here for a little while.

[00:01:45] Rod, thanks for coming today.

[00:01:47] Oh, thanks for having me, Paul.

[00:01:48] Let's have some fun, brother.

[00:01:49] Yeah.

[00:01:50] Yeah.

[00:01:50] Well, you've got such an exciting history and colorful history.

[00:01:54] Why don't we just dive right into your, how you got involved in real

[00:01:58] estate and your story, man?

[00:01:59] Sure.

[00:01:59] Sure.

[00:02:00] Colorful is a good word to describe it.

[00:02:02] Uh, so, so, uh, I'm going to go way back.

[00:02:04] So I'm a Dutch immigrant.

[00:02:05] You know, I was born in the Netherlands, wooden shoes and windmills

[00:02:08] immigrated when I was six years old with my brother, Albert, my mother's

[00:02:11] Vantje, and we ended up in Denver, Colorado, and we really struggled

[00:02:14] initially, we didn't have a lot of money.

[00:02:16] Uh, I remember my mom, um, we bought clothes from the Goodwill and the

[00:02:20] Salvation Army all the way through junior high school, and then, you

[00:02:23] know, I remember eating expired food.

[00:02:25] We shopped at an expired food store.

[00:02:27] True story.

[00:02:28] We drank powdered milk with our cereal in the morning, which trust me,

[00:02:30] sounds better than it is.

[00:02:31] And, and, uh, we really struggled.

[00:02:34] I, I, you know, but my mom had an incredible work ethic.

[00:02:37] So she babysat kids so we'd have enough money to eat.

[00:02:40] And with her babysitting money, she was a bit of an entrepreneur.

[00:02:42] So she invested in the stock market, uh, successfully and also, uh,

[00:02:47] invest in real estate.

[00:02:48] Well, her first real estate acquisition was housed right across the street

[00:02:51] from us.

[00:02:52] She bought when I was about 14 for about 30 grand.

[00:02:55] Then when I was 17, she told me that she'd made $20,000 in her

[00:02:59] sleep that had gone up in value to 50 grand.

[00:03:01] I'm like, what?

[00:03:02] You made 20 grand.

[00:03:03] You didn't do anything.

[00:03:04] Screw college.

[00:03:05] I'm getting into real estate.

[00:03:06] So I went out and got my real estate broker's license

[00:03:09] right when I turned 18.

[00:03:10] I, you could be a broker back then with education.

[00:03:12] That's how old I am now.

[00:03:13] They got smart.

[00:03:14] Of course you need some experience to be an actual broker and have

[00:03:16] your own office.

[00:03:17] Now I was smart enough to go work for a broker, but, but, um, you

[00:03:21] know, I was going to be rich in real estate.

[00:03:22] Well, my first year in real estate, I made about, well, eight grand.

[00:03:26] My second year, maybe 10 grand, but my third year I made over

[00:03:30] a hundred thousand dollars.

[00:03:32] And so, and which back in 1980 was some pretty decent change.

[00:03:35] Real money.

[00:03:36] What happened between, what happened between year two and year three that

[00:03:38] caused me to 10 X my income?

[00:03:40] Well, what happened was I met a guy.

[00:03:41] I was dating his daughter and he was my broker actually.

[00:03:44] And he taught me about the importance of mindset and psychology and how

[00:03:48] really that is the bulk of your success in anything.

[00:03:50] 80 to 90% of your successes is your mindset.

[00:03:54] You know, only to 10 to 20% is the mechanical stuff we

[00:03:56] talk about on our podcasts.

[00:03:58] Um, you know, it's the do and it's the keep doing well, you know,

[00:04:02] I, so he got me started on the path of, of, you know, self

[00:04:05] actualization mindset, psychology.

[00:04:07] I also spent 20 years with Tony Robbins, uh, uh, who's the best in the world at it.

[00:04:11] But, uh, you know, fast forward to today, I've owned over 2000 houses

[00:04:15] that I've rented long-term, um, in three States.

[00:04:18] Um, in 2006, my net worth went up $17 million while I slept.

[00:04:23] Okay.

[00:04:23] And, uh, you might say, wow.

[00:04:25] And I said, wow.

[00:04:26] And I got a head so big, I could barely fit it through a door.

[00:04:28] And you know, when that happens, a God of the universe will

[00:04:30] give you a nice little smack.

[00:04:31] Well, that was 2008.

[00:04:33] I lost $50 million conservatively in 2008 and nine.

[00:04:37] And so, you know, what I'm known for talking about is the mindset it took

[00:04:41] to have that to lose in the first place.

[00:04:43] And probably more importantly, the mindset it took to recover from losing

[00:04:46] everything to the success that I'm blessed to have today.

[00:04:49] So happy to drill down on some of those strategies with you, if you like, Paul.

[00:04:54] Yeah, I mean, absolutely.

[00:04:55] Yeah, joy.

[00:04:56] Absolutely.

[00:04:56] I mean, you know, everyone, you know, our listeners are business

[00:04:59] owners, entrepreneurs, they want to go to the next level.

[00:05:02] Everyone wants to scale and go to the next level.

[00:05:03] And, you know, it seems like there's so much like invisible friction,

[00:05:07] you know, a headwind that a lot of people face and they don't know what it is.

[00:05:10] And so you clearly have dialed that in and have the answer for yourself.

[00:05:14] And not only do it once and lose it, but doing a second time.

[00:05:16] So dig in rod.

[00:05:18] Let's learn.

[00:05:19] Well, listen, um, you know, you, first of all, you got to know what you

[00:05:23] want, okay?

[00:05:23] You've got to create what Napoleon Hill in his book, think and grow

[00:05:26] rich calls a burning desire.

[00:05:28] So like I just had a thousand people in my virtual bootcamp three weeks ago.

[00:05:31] And the first thing we did was goal setting on steroids.

[00:05:34] Cause how do you get anything?

[00:05:35] If you don't know what the heck it is, you got to know what it is you want.

[00:05:37] And you've got to know why you want it.

[00:05:39] That's even more important.

[00:05:41] And so, you know, it starts with goals.

[00:05:43] And by the way, if you're listening and I do a goal setting workshop,

[00:05:48] it's on my link tree.

[00:05:50] There's a guide you can download.

[00:05:52] I'm not going to try to sell you anything.

[00:05:53] It takes about an hour, maybe an hour, 15 minutes.

[00:05:56] You know, here's the thing, Paul, people spend more time planning a

[00:05:58] freaking birthday party than they do designing their lives.

[00:06:01] That's designing your life, figuring out what it is you want.

[00:06:03] So, you know, grab your spouse and go to rodslinks.com,

[00:06:08] rodsplurallinksplural.com.

[00:06:10] At the bottom is my goal setting workshop.

[00:06:11] Like I said, there's a guide you can download and, and, you know,

[00:06:15] and if you've got a child that's 10 years old or older, have them do it.

[00:06:18] Let, let them get juiced about what they want.

[00:06:20] So, but it starts because you've got to create that burning desire

[00:06:24] to push through fear, you know, to push through limiting beliefs

[00:06:28] that you may have, and I'll expand on that in a minute, but, or,

[00:06:30] or just to get uncomfortable.

[00:06:32] You know, a lot of people are comfortable and that comfort zone's

[00:06:34] a nice warm place.

[00:06:35] And as you know, Paul, not a damn thing grows there, right?

[00:06:37] So, so you got it.

[00:06:38] You got to have that burning desire to get a little uncomfortable

[00:06:41] and make things happen.

[00:06:43] And then the next piece, and so that's what I did when I lost

[00:06:45] everything, I reassociated with what I wanted and why I wanted

[00:06:48] it to get back on track.

[00:06:49] Sure.

[00:06:49] I, I bemoaned my existence for a few months and hit underneath a rock.

[00:06:53] But, but then I got myself back up, but then you've got to make a decision.

[00:06:57] That's the next piece.

[00:06:58] And I don't mean dip your toe in the water.

[00:07:01] I mean, or one foot in, one foot out.

[00:07:03] I mean, it is freaking done when you make a decision.

[00:07:05] It's 100% commitment.

[00:07:07] Okay.

[00:07:08] Because if you're just interested, you're going to get knocked off track.

[00:07:12] You've got to decide and be committed.

[00:07:14] And then you're like a train on a track, right?

[00:07:16] And so, you know, that's the next piece.

[00:07:19] And then, you know, I will tell you once you have that 100%

[00:07:23] commitment and you take 100% ownership, you know, and 100%

[00:07:28] responsibility for everything that happens to you, you know, success is

[00:07:32] inevitable when you get rolling here, but you've got to do one other piece.

[00:07:35] You got to take that first step.

[00:07:37] Okay.

[00:07:38] And, you know, I will tell you the, when I remember, and sometimes it's a

[00:07:42] scary step, you know, Dr.

[00:07:44] Martin Luther King said, you don't have to see the whole staircase, but

[00:07:47] you got to take that first step in faith.

[00:07:49] Lao Tzu thousands of years ago said the journey of a thousand miles

[00:07:52] begins with a single step, but you got to take it.

[00:07:54] And, you know, like I remember when I was between year two and year three,

[00:07:58] when I taxed my income, I started knocking on doors of people that were in

[00:08:01] foreclosure and helping them and or selling their homes, buying their

[00:08:05] homes, whatever.

[00:08:05] And it was pretty scary.

[00:08:07] Those first few doors I knocked on, but, but you know, that's that first

[00:08:10] step.

[00:08:10] And, and I see it with my students all the time.

[00:08:12] I have coaching students, they're called my warriors and I'm going to

[00:08:15] brag for a minute.

[00:08:16] They now own over, we believe over 200,000 units and I've only been

[00:08:20] teaching six years.

[00:08:21] So I'm something I'm very, very proud of my student success.

[00:08:24] And, and the reason I bring that up is I see it with them all the time.

[00:08:28] You know, they're, they're like, oh crap rod.

[00:08:29] It's been four months.

[00:08:30] It's been six months.

[00:08:31] We don't have a deal sometimes even a year.

[00:08:33] And then, then they get one and then it's saying, I know they have three.

[00:08:36] I'm like, what just happened?

[00:08:37] And they recognize that, you know, that first deal, it's the scariest.

[00:08:41] It's the most stressful.

[00:08:42] It takes the longest.

[00:08:43] And then they get it done.

[00:08:44] They're like, Oh, is that all there is?

[00:08:46] But see, you know, here's the thing.

[00:08:48] You know, this life is not a dress rehearsal.

[00:08:50] Okay.

[00:08:51] This is our life.

[00:08:52] Okay.

[00:08:52] And we can't, we don't want any regrets.

[00:08:54] You know, a lot of people get caught up in analysis paralysis, but you

[00:08:58] know, you've, you've got to take that first step and you know, here's

[00:09:01] the thing to remember if you're analytical and I love you and you're

[00:09:04] very, very good in my business, multifamily real estate investing.

[00:09:07] Here's some of the best people in the business are analytical.

[00:09:09] And, but you know how you got to check off every single box

[00:09:12] before you make a move.

[00:09:13] You know who you are.

[00:09:14] And I know you're hearing me here, but you got to remember this.

[00:09:17] Okay.

[00:09:18] You can drive all the way across the United States at night with your

[00:09:21] headlights seeing 50 feet in front of you and you know, you can make it.

[00:09:25] You know, other people have done it before you.

[00:09:27] You may have some obstacles, but you know, you can do it.

[00:09:29] It's the same way with, with anything, but you got to take the first step.

[00:09:33] You know, uh, the thing you don't want is regret.

[00:09:35] And, and let me, let me expand on that.

[00:09:37] So, um, uh, you know, I got to meet, um, well, let me, let me back up.

[00:09:43] So, so there's a nurse in Australia, a hospice nurse and her name was Bonnie

[00:09:49] where with our brawny where she wrote a book about this.

[00:09:52] She was a hospice nurse and she asked patients that were about to die.

[00:09:56] If they had any regrets.

[00:09:57] And she wrote a book about it, something like the five regrets of dying.

[00:10:00] And you know what the number one regret was?

[00:10:02] It was not living the life I could have lived living someone else's

[00:10:04] life, not doing what I know I'm capable of.

[00:10:07] I can't think of anything worse than that.

[00:10:09] Okay.

[00:10:09] So, you know, um, no regrets guys.

[00:10:13] Um, the next thing I want to mention is, is fear.

[00:10:17] I talked about fear and limiting beliefs.

[00:10:19] You know, when I, when I immigrated, I didn't speak English

[00:10:22] and I got thrown into school and I found out what bullies were for the first

[00:10:25] time. So I got beat up a couple of times.

[00:10:27] And then my mom, God bless her proud Dutch woman that she was thought

[00:10:30] it'd be a great idea to send me to school in wooden shoes and those

[00:10:33] leather shorts, the Germans wear for Oktoberfest, the later host.

[00:10:36] And so I got my ass kicked again.

[00:10:38] And, and then, you know, I had this incident on a playground where I had a

[00:10:41] crush on this girl and she embarrassed me in front of a whole bunch of kids.

[00:10:45] It's the same stupid stuff we all go through.

[00:10:47] But I came up with this belief system that I wasn't good enough, you know?

[00:10:50] And I used to ask myself, how can I show them I'm good enough?

[00:10:53] And a lot of people have these limiting beliefs.

[00:10:55] I'm not young enough.

[00:10:56] I'm not old enough.

[00:10:57] I'm not smart enough.

[00:10:58] I'm not analytical enough.

[00:10:59] That was another one of mine.

[00:11:00] I don't have enough money.

[00:11:01] I don't have enough time, but see, here's the thing to remember.

[00:11:03] There's a reason that the acronym for belief systems is BS because 99%

[00:11:08] of them are BS.

[00:11:09] They have no basis in fact, they're just something we believe is real.

[00:11:12] And so if you've got one of these limiting beliefs, BS belief systems,

[00:11:17] drag it out into the daylight.

[00:11:19] Realize that it's not real and you'll start to diminish it.

[00:11:24] I mean, I used to be afraid to raise my hand in front of 15 kids in a

[00:11:27] classroom and now I speak in front of thousands of people a year, typically

[00:11:31] in flip-flops, okay?

[00:11:32] Cause I'm becoming more and more free from the opinion of others, very

[00:11:34] freeing, but the point is if you've got one of these belief systems,

[00:11:38] drag it out into the daylight when it comes up, look at it rationally

[00:11:41] and you'll recognize it's BS.

[00:11:44] The next thing I want to talk about is focus.

[00:11:46] So, you know, I get excited about my 21 million downloads on my podcast,

[00:11:52] but I listened to two podcasts.

[00:11:53] I listened to Joe Rogan and I listened to Tim Ferriss.

[00:11:56] I try to do both sides of the aisle.

[00:11:58] I'm definitely more on one side than the other, but I try to stay

[00:12:00] balanced as much as I can.

[00:12:02] And on Tim Ferriss' show, he interviews the best of the best in the world.

[00:12:07] Okay.

[00:12:07] And the reason I'm bringing all this stuff, let me back up for a minute.

[00:12:11] Focus is clarity.

[00:12:13] Wherever your focus goes, your energy is going to flow and whatever

[00:12:17] you focus on is going to get larger.

[00:12:19] Like I'll get people to call me and say, how do I get out of student loan

[00:12:22] debt?

[00:12:22] And I'm like, wrong question.

[00:12:23] You know, how do you make so much money?

[00:12:25] The debt's irrelevant is the question you should be asking.

[00:12:28] You know, for example, they asked mother Teresa if she was anti-war.

[00:12:31] She said, no, I'm pro-peace.

[00:12:33] I mean, you get the distinction there, but back to the podcast.

[00:12:37] So I get excited about Joe and Tim Ferriss' podcast and they do like

[00:12:40] 20 million a week, but Tim Ferriss, you know, interviews the best of

[00:12:45] the best in the world.

[00:12:46] Like the best athletes, Michael Phelps, the swimmer, NFL, NBA players,

[00:12:49] best actors, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ed Norton, Hugh Jackman, you know,

[00:12:53] Jamie Foxx, you know, billionaires like Ray Dalio, heads of the biggest

[00:12:57] CEOs companies in the world, Zuckerberg, people like that.

[00:13:01] And I started to get, he deconstructs their success.

[00:13:04] He kind of like outlines how they became a success.

[00:13:07] Very, very interesting conversation.

[00:13:09] But I started to hear a pattern, Paul.

[00:13:11] They almost all meditate.

[00:13:12] What does meditation enhance?

[00:13:14] Focus, right?

[00:13:15] Focus is power, guys.

[00:13:17] Okay.

[00:13:18] You know, and so focus is important.

[00:13:20] And so many of us get caught up, you know, be watching some

[00:13:22] stupid stuff on Netflix and we'll be scrolling through social media on

[00:13:25] our phone, which kills your focus.

[00:13:28] Okay.

[00:13:28] And, you know, my memory has gotten so bad because of that.

[00:13:32] I'm actually going to do some memory classes, but, you know, I try to

[00:13:36] minimize my decisions and I try to, you know, really hone my focus.

[00:13:39] Like you'll almost always see me in a black V-neck or a dark blue V-neck.

[00:13:43] I literally have 200 of them.

[00:13:44] I'm not exaggerating because I don't want to think about what

[00:13:46] I'm going to wear, honestly.

[00:13:48] Yeah.

[00:13:49] Next piece is playing to your strengths, Paul.

[00:13:51] You know, can I go back there?

[00:13:53] But yeah, so the concept of focus and meditation.

[00:13:56] So, and tying it back to the whole concept of starting with what it is

[00:14:00] you want defining your goal and your mission.

[00:14:02] So, so would you also consider, you know, meditation, a lot of people

[00:14:07] think is just kind of clear in their head and just, you know, for quiet.

[00:14:12] But how about this idea of taking time to really focus on and visualize

[00:14:15] an image that goal and the dream of the outcome as a manager?

[00:14:20] Yeah, I'll talk about that in a second.

[00:14:21] I have manifested everything in my life.

[00:14:23] Okay.

[00:14:23] So I'll talk about manifesting in a second.

[00:14:25] I'm glad you brought it up.

[00:14:26] In fact, I can talk about it right now.

[00:14:28] So I remember when I was 18, I because I've manifested

[00:14:35] unbelievable things in my life.

[00:14:36] So I remember I was 18 and I bought a four door Ford Granada because

[00:14:41] I knew I had to show houses, right?

[00:14:42] So I needed a four door.

[00:14:43] This thing was that piece of crap, but I knew I needed a four door.

[00:14:47] So, but the guy was working for the broker I was talking about.

[00:14:50] He had two Corvettes and he let me drive one because I was

[00:14:52] dating his daughter and he let me take her out in it.

[00:14:54] And I'm like, oh my God, this is amazing.

[00:14:56] And so this is before the internet.

[00:14:58] I went and bought a magazine with a picture of a Corvette.

[00:15:00] I, I tore it out.

[00:15:02] I put it on the visor of this bone ugly Granada that I had.

[00:15:05] So every time I sat in it was right there in front of me within

[00:15:08] a year or two at a beautiful Corvette.

[00:15:09] And I'll give you some more examples, but let me pre-frame

[00:15:11] this by telling you I'm not bragging because this stuff

[00:15:13] doesn't really interest me anymore, but it's great for what you just asked me.

[00:15:17] So this is back when the TV show Magnum PI was out.

[00:15:20] Okay.

[00:15:21] The actor's name was Tom Selleck and he drove a Ferrari 308.

[00:15:24] You remember that?

[00:15:25] He was an detective in Hawaii.

[00:15:26] I think.

[00:15:26] Absolutely.

[00:15:27] Red Ferrari 308.

[00:15:28] That's right.

[00:15:29] And I thought that was the coolest fricking thing I've ever seen.

[00:15:32] Well, I got a picture of that actual car, put it on the visor of my

[00:15:35] Corvette within a year or two out of Maserati looked just like it.

[00:15:38] Okay.

[00:15:39] Um, last example, I'm the guy that always wanted a Lamborghini.

[00:15:42] I had the posters in my room with the Lamborghini, Kuntas and the girls

[00:15:46] in the bikinis washing them, you know, all that stupid crap.

[00:15:48] But, but what's interesting is my son collected models of exotic cars.

[00:15:53] He had like 30 of them.

[00:15:54] He had a model of the exact same color style year Lamborghini that I ended up

[00:16:00] buying, which I wrecked and almost killed myself in.

[00:16:02] But, but, but, um, manifesting is real.

[00:16:06] In fact, I'll show you something here.

[00:16:07] This is my, this is my planner.

[00:16:09] Okay.

[00:16:09] I'm a dinosaur.

[00:16:10] Yes.

[00:16:10] I use a paper planner, but in the back of this thing, I'm showing Paul

[00:16:13] some pictures if you're not, if you can't see this, but it starts by, by

[00:16:17] the way, every, what you're talking about manifesting starts with gratitude.

[00:16:21] You've got to be grateful.

[00:16:22] That's how you manifest things into your life.

[00:16:24] So these first pictures are my gratitude pictures.

[00:16:27] My, my kids are 32 and 28.

[00:16:28] So these are young when they were young and, and gratitude.

[00:16:32] So I have these gratitude pictures in here, but then I've got pictures

[00:16:35] of the things that I wanted this.

[00:16:37] I, I forgot to mention this.

[00:16:39] So I, I, I wanted a house on the beach.

[00:16:42] Okay.

[00:16:42] I knew I wanted to live on the beach and there's no beach in Denver.

[00:16:44] So I visualized, uh, you know, living on the beach for 20 years.

[00:16:49] And I built this incredible mansion on the beach, 10,000 square foot.

[00:16:52] I owned the beach on one side.

[00:16:53] I had my boats on the backside.

[00:16:54] It was called a Gulf to Bay.

[00:16:56] I mean, giant waterfall from the second floor balcony into the pool.

[00:16:59] You had to walk through the waterfall to get to the pool pools and

[00:17:02] magazines big spiral staircase up through the middle wine cellar elevator.

[00:17:05] I mean, this house is magnificent.

[00:17:06] It's probably it's worth about 25, 30 million now, but I

[00:17:10] mean to land the plane, I built aquariums on the second floor,

[00:17:14] a curved custom made around the staircase cost me almost 200 grand.

[00:17:17] So this gives you an idea of the house.

[00:17:19] All right.

[00:17:19] So this top picture looks just like the view from that house.

[00:17:24] I had 10 foot high glass, 80 feet long with travertine floors, exactly

[00:17:28] like that's before I built it.

[00:17:29] Okay.

[00:17:30] That, that one, this bottom picture, see the, can you see

[00:17:33] the white walls in those pictures?

[00:17:35] Can you see the white walls there?

[00:17:36] Look behind me.

[00:17:37] This is my compound now.

[00:17:39] It's the exact same fricking wall where I live.

[00:17:41] Now God's got a sense of humor.

[00:17:43] I lost that, that, uh, mansion and all the craziness.

[00:17:46] And now I live in a compound because God's got a sense of

[00:17:48] humor.

[00:17:49] I can see my old house across the Bay.

[00:17:50] It's literally right across the bay.

[00:17:53] But anyway, these pictures were before I got any of this.

[00:17:56] It's crazy, you know?

[00:17:57] And then I've got pictures of other stupid shit.

[00:17:59] Like I've got a, I've got probably a million and a half

[00:18:01] dollar watch collection.

[00:18:02] That's my last remaining vanity.

[00:18:04] There's a Lamborghini before I ever got it.

[00:18:06] Uh, Rolls Royce Bentley again, replace this with what you want,

[00:18:10] but this is all stuff that I got because I had pictures

[00:18:12] and I manifested it.

[00:18:13] So I know there was a long answer to your question, but

[00:18:15] since you asked it, I had to elaborate, but, uh,

[00:18:18] well, while you're elaborating on it, talk about process.

[00:18:20] You said, you know, the manifesting.

[00:18:22] Yep.

[00:18:22] Yep.

[00:18:22] I'll tell you exactly.

[00:18:23] You got pictures.

[00:18:24] I mean, is this a daily routine?

[00:18:26] Is it an hourly routine and what, how do you do this?

[00:18:28] Every morning?

[00:18:29] Uh, it's, it's an hour of, you know, it's, it's, you

[00:18:31] know, Hal Elrod, I've had him on my show.

[00:18:33] He wrote a book called the miracle morning.

[00:18:35] I've had him on a couple of times, beautiful guy.

[00:18:37] Um, and so he does a version of this where you, where

[00:18:40] every morning you exercise, you journal, he calls it

[00:18:43] scribing, you journal, um, you meditate.

[00:18:46] Um, and, um, and, and you manifest, you prayer or

[00:18:50] manifest.

[00:18:51] And so what I do is I'll sit in my recliner behind my green

[00:18:55] screen here and I will just be grateful for the beautiful

[00:18:59] people in my life that I love the things that I have, the

[00:19:02] blessings that I have, my coaching students, my foundation

[00:19:04] and whatnot, but then I'll be grateful for the things

[00:19:07] that I want as if I already have them.

[00:19:09] I'll say thank you God for this and this and this.

[00:19:12] And sometimes I'll get emotional being grateful

[00:19:14] for things I don't even have yet.

[00:19:16] And I know I lost a few of your analytical ones on that one,

[00:19:18] but guys, this is how I had 50 million to lose and how I got

[00:19:21] it back.

[00:19:21] Okay.

[00:19:22] So ignore it at your apparel.

[00:19:24] Okay.

[00:19:24] Is all I'll tell you.

[00:19:25] Okay.

[00:19:26] That's how you do it brother.

[00:19:27] But, um, anyway, so back, back to playing is a long

[00:19:31] answer, but I'm glad you asked.

[00:19:32] So back to playing to strengths.

[00:19:34] Okay.

[00:19:35] In this multifamily business that I teach, it's a team

[00:19:38] sport.

[00:19:38] Okay.

[00:19:39] And, and there are lots of different hats.

[00:19:40] You're not going to do it by yourself.

[00:19:42] You're not going to take down thousands of units by yourself.

[00:19:44] Okay.

[00:19:45] But you got to play to your strengths, your strengths, your

[00:19:47] greatest assets.

[00:19:48] Okay.

[00:19:48] Don't try to maximize your weaknesses.

[00:19:50] What you want to do is hire a line or partner for your

[00:19:54] weaknesses.

[00:19:54] Like I said, my warriors, my coaching students own a couple

[00:19:57] of hundred thousand doors.

[00:19:58] It's more than that.

[00:19:59] We can't even keep track anymore, but they do, it's

[00:20:01] all done between students.

[00:20:02] It's all done between warriors.

[00:20:04] That's the strength of a community like that.

[00:20:06] So, you know, um, but you've got to play to your

[00:20:09] strengths, your strengths, your greatest assets.

[00:20:11] And here's why.

[00:20:12] First of all, when you're playing your strengths, work is

[00:20:14] play.

[00:20:15] You never work another day in your life because you love

[00:20:17] what you're freaking doing.

[00:20:18] If you're playing to your strengths, you're loving it.

[00:20:19] Right?

[00:20:19] So that's number one.

[00:20:20] Number two is if you're playing to your strengths,

[00:20:23] you're going to be passionate about it and you

[00:20:25] need passion to influence people.

[00:20:27] I mean, can you tell I'm passionate about this

[00:20:28] conversation?

[00:20:29] I enjoy this and that's, you need that to be able to

[00:20:31] influence people, you know, that passion equals that

[00:20:35] ability.

[00:20:35] And, and, you know, and so, you know, when you've got

[00:20:38] that passion, that's the fuel, you know, when you're

[00:20:41] doing what juices you and inspires you, you know, if

[00:20:44] you've, if you've, it minimizes or even eliminates

[00:20:47] fear.

[00:20:48] You know, it helps you with creativity and

[00:20:50] innovation and, and, you know, success comes that

[00:20:53] much faster and because you're loving what you're

[00:20:55] doing.

[00:20:55] Okay.

[00:20:56] So again, hire a line or partner for your

[00:20:57] weaknesses.

[00:20:58] Like I'm the, I'm the mouthpiece obviously.

[00:21:00] Okay.

[00:21:01] I've got partners that are CPAs.

[00:21:03] Okay.

[00:21:03] That, that, that they love the numbers.

[00:21:05] I can throw them in a room with a spreadsheet

[00:21:07] and throw raw meat in once in a while and

[00:21:08] they're happy.

[00:21:09] Okay.

[00:21:10] But that's not me.

[00:21:11] I mean, I can read a spreadsheet, but I don't

[00:21:12] love it.

[00:21:13] Okay.

[00:21:13] I love, I love the communication piece.

[00:21:16] All right.

[00:21:16] The next piece is your peer group.

[00:21:18] You know, you've heard the saying who you

[00:21:19] hang out with is who you become.

[00:21:20] I mean, you show me your three best friends.

[00:21:22] I'll show you who you are in every aspect of

[00:21:23] your life, your, your health, your happiness,

[00:21:26] definitely your finances.

[00:21:27] And, you know, a lot of people default to

[00:21:30] people they went to school with or people they

[00:21:32] work with.

[00:21:33] And those people may not have your best

[00:21:36] interests at heart because of their own fear or

[00:21:39] limiting beliefs.

[00:21:40] They may hold you back.

[00:21:41] You know, they don't want to lose you.

[00:21:42] They don't want to feel less than if you

[00:21:44] succeed and you got to be around people.

[00:21:46] And sometimes that's family.

[00:21:48] Okay.

[00:21:48] And I'm going to tell you love your

[00:21:50] family, but proactively choose who you

[00:21:52] allowed influence you, your peers.

[00:21:53] Okay.

[00:21:54] And, uh, you know, get in a group like my

[00:21:57] warrior programmers or find a local group of

[00:22:00] people that want more out of life.

[00:22:01] Get around them that aren't going to

[00:22:02] squash your dreams.

[00:22:03] Cause when you've got a dream, it's a

[00:22:04] fragile thread.

[00:22:05] It's easy to break.

[00:22:06] You got to be careful who you share it

[00:22:08] with.

[00:22:08] You want to be around people that want

[00:22:09] more out of life, that will hold you

[00:22:11] accountable.

[00:22:12] They think what you think is hard is

[00:22:13] easy, you know?

[00:22:14] And, and, you know, cause a rising

[00:22:16] tide lifts all ships.

[00:22:17] So get in a peer group that is going

[00:22:20] to help you and support you.

[00:22:21] And, uh, and you know, that, that

[00:22:23] makes all the difference in the world,

[00:22:25] especially in this multifamily space

[00:22:28] and don't fear failure.

[00:22:30] Well, go ahead.

[00:22:31] I was going to say, well, you

[00:22:31] know, um, we talk about, um, like

[00:22:34] the God of the universe, the right

[00:22:36] out of the shoot and almost the

[00:22:37] first chapter or a couple chapters

[00:22:38] of Genesis.

[00:22:39] He tells Abraham to leave your

[00:22:40] family and go off and go into land

[00:22:42] that I'd tell you to go into.

[00:22:44] And because family and those,

[00:22:46] those influences that you grew up

[00:22:48] around and talking about your BS

[00:22:49] and your, your, your belief

[00:22:50] systems, your limiting systems,

[00:22:52] they have them as well.

[00:22:53] And where do you think you got

[00:22:54] them from?

[00:22:54] Right.

[00:22:54] Right.

[00:22:55] That's right.

[00:22:55] That's right.

[00:22:56] They have, everybody has those

[00:22:57] life experiences and they may be

[00:22:58] well-meaning.

[00:23:00] My dad, my dad used to tell me

[00:23:02] he worked for continental air

[00:23:03] nines for 36 years.

[00:23:04] He's like, Oh, get a real job.

[00:23:05] Don't be screwing around with

[00:23:06] this real estate stuff.

[00:23:08] He worked for continental

[00:23:09] airlines for 36 years and got

[00:23:11] laid off.

[00:23:12] Okay.

[00:23:13] He loved that company.

[00:23:14] Don't, you know, the only job

[00:23:16] securities between your ears,

[00:23:17] guys.

[00:23:18] Okay.

[00:23:18] And don't fear failure or

[00:23:20] problems.

[00:23:21] You know, the only failure, I

[00:23:22] call them seminars.

[00:23:23] Okay.

[00:23:23] That was a $50 million seminar.

[00:23:25] It wasn't an expensive freak.

[00:23:28] But, but problems are a gift.

[00:23:30] That's how you grow and learn.

[00:23:31] If you come to one of my

[00:23:32] boot camps, the day after the

[00:23:34] boot camp, you'll get a survey

[00:23:36] asking you what you thought.

[00:23:37] And you know, 99.9% of the

[00:23:39] stuff is very, very positive,

[00:23:41] but I'm looking for critical

[00:23:42] feedback.

[00:23:43] So how do I make it better?

[00:23:45] You know, don't fear failure.

[00:23:47] You know, I got to meet the

[00:23:48] billionaire owner of Spanx,

[00:23:50] the women's undergarments,

[00:23:51] guys, you don't know what this

[00:23:52] is, but they wear this stuff

[00:23:53] under their clothes to hold

[00:23:54] it all in.

[00:23:55] And her name's Sarah Blakely,

[00:23:56] beautiful human being.

[00:23:57] And I met her at a mastermind

[00:24:00] and she told me that her

[00:24:02] dad used to ask her and her

[00:24:03] brother once a week, what have

[00:24:04] you failed at this week?

[00:24:06] And I thought, what an awesome

[00:24:07] freaking question to ask your

[00:24:08] kids so they don't fear

[00:24:09] failure.

[00:24:10] Don't fear failure.

[00:24:11] So the last piece I want to

[00:24:13] talk about, I talked about it

[00:24:15] briefly is gratitude.

[00:24:16] Everything you manifest into

[00:24:18] your life comes through

[00:24:19] gratitude.

[00:24:19] Actually, I got one more piece

[00:24:20] after this, but gratitude,

[00:24:22] it strengthens our immune

[00:24:23] system, you know, makes our

[00:24:24] heart stronger, you know,

[00:24:26] lowers our blood pressure,

[00:24:27] brings us closer to our

[00:24:28] spirituality, right?

[00:24:30] And it attracts anything you

[00:24:32] want into your life.

[00:24:34] So use it.

[00:24:35] I try to do gratitude

[00:24:36] every morning.

[00:24:37] I get my cold plunge and

[00:24:39] I'm grateful for God letting me

[00:24:41] have the courage to get in that

[00:24:42] thing at 50 degrees for five

[00:24:43] minutes.

[00:24:43] But I sit in there and I just

[00:24:45] do gratitude and I look at

[00:24:46] the beautiful view that you see

[00:24:47] behind me here.

[00:24:48] And, you know, and I just

[00:24:51] I'm just grateful for the

[00:24:52] things that I want and

[00:24:54] and they are things that I

[00:24:56] have first and then things

[00:24:57] that I want.

[00:24:57] I do it there as well as on

[00:24:58] my recliner.

[00:25:00] But the last piece I want to

[00:25:01] talk about, I talked about

[00:25:02] that house I built on the

[00:25:03] beach.

[00:25:03] OK, I mean this place was

[00:25:04] spectacular and I worked for

[00:25:06] that for 20 years.

[00:25:08] OK, and two months after I

[00:25:11] moved in, Paul, I'm floating

[00:25:13] in the pool at night and I'm

[00:25:15] you know, the pool is

[00:25:15] changing colors.

[00:25:16] It's got fiber optic

[00:25:17] lightings, two waterfalls,

[00:25:18] one from the spa, one from

[00:25:19] the second floor,

[00:25:20] spectacular home.

[00:25:21] I mean, again, the pool is

[00:25:22] in magazines and I'm looking

[00:25:24] up at this testament to my

[00:25:25] ego, which is really what

[00:25:26] it was.

[00:25:26] It was to prove the world.

[00:25:27] I was freaking good enough.

[00:25:28] OK, if that didn't prove it,

[00:25:29] I don't know what could.

[00:25:30] Right.

[00:25:31] And my family's inside

[00:25:32] sleeping and I look up at

[00:25:34] this thing and I got

[00:25:35] depressed.

[00:25:35] And this is two months after

[00:25:37] I moved in.

[00:25:37] OK, and and I'd worked

[00:25:40] for it for 20 years and

[00:25:40] I got depressed.

[00:25:41] And I don't mean a little.

[00:25:42] I mean, I was really bummed.

[00:25:43] I'm like, what the heck

[00:25:44] is going on here?

[00:25:45] You know, I've just achieved

[00:25:46] success like times a thousand.

[00:25:48] And when I look back on

[00:25:50] it, I want to share this

[00:25:51] final message with your

[00:25:51] peeps here.

[00:25:53] There were three things

[00:25:54] going on.

[00:25:54] One is you never achieve a

[00:25:55] big goal without having

[00:25:56] other goals lined up

[00:25:57] behind it.

[00:25:58] Because like the good book

[00:25:59] says, without a vision that

[00:26:00] people perish, you need a

[00:26:01] vision for your future.

[00:26:02] Right.

[00:26:03] And so I didn't know it.

[00:26:04] And happiness doesn't come

[00:26:05] from the goals.

[00:26:07] You know, they say the

[00:26:08] happiest days of a boat

[00:26:09] owner's life, the day

[00:26:10] they buy the boat and the

[00:26:11] day they sell the boat.

[00:26:11] Right.

[00:26:12] Well, happiness comes

[00:26:14] from progress and growth.

[00:26:15] And I didn't know how

[00:26:16] I was going to progress

[00:26:17] or grow.

[00:26:18] But the big thing was

[00:26:20] I had been totally

[00:26:21] focused on me.

[00:26:21] And that's the year I

[00:26:22] went and saw Tony

[00:26:22] Robbins.

[00:26:23] This is 24 years ago.

[00:26:24] And, you know, and,

[00:26:27] you know, I followed him

[00:26:28] around the planet for 20

[00:26:29] years.

[00:26:29] I was on his team for

[00:26:30] eight years.

[00:26:30] I mean, if you let me

[00:26:31] shout out to Tony, if

[00:26:32] you have an opportunity to

[00:26:33] see him, just do it,

[00:26:34] trust me, you'll thank me.

[00:26:35] But I saw that he fed

[00:26:37] families for the holidays.

[00:26:38] And I was like, what a

[00:26:39] concept do something

[00:26:40] for someone else.

[00:26:41] I'm embarrassed to say

[00:26:42] I had to be 40 to get

[00:26:43] that memo.

[00:26:44] This is 24 years ago.

[00:26:45] And I went home and

[00:26:47] I called my brother in

[00:26:47] Denver who I was going

[00:26:48] to visit for Thanksgiving.

[00:26:49] I said, bro, let's

[00:26:50] feed five families.

[00:26:50] So he called his church

[00:26:51] and found five families

[00:26:52] that really needed help.

[00:26:53] We bought frozen

[00:26:54] turkeys and toys for

[00:26:55] their kids and big

[00:26:56] boxes of food.

[00:26:57] It was a lot of fun.

[00:26:58] The third family changed

[00:26:59] my life, Paul.

[00:27:00] We go up to this shack,

[00:27:02] which is really what it

[00:27:03] was. It wasn't even

[00:27:04] a one bedroom because

[00:27:05] you had to walk through

[00:27:05] the bedroom to get to

[00:27:06] the kitchen where the

[00:27:07] bathroom was.

[00:27:07] And this Hispanic woman

[00:27:09] was in there with five kids.

[00:27:11] She comes out and she

[00:27:12] sees all this stuff

[00:27:13] on the porch and

[00:27:13] she starts crying.

[00:27:14] And her kids come out

[00:27:15] to the older ones

[00:27:16] start crying and I

[00:27:17] start crying and I was

[00:27:18] hooked and I'm blessed

[00:27:20] to say, Paul, in

[00:27:20] the last 24 years,

[00:27:22] I have fed 150,000

[00:27:24] children here in my

[00:27:25] area in Sarasota,

[00:27:26] Bradenton, Florida.

[00:27:27] I've done, and this

[00:27:28] is not bragging.

[00:27:29] There's a message in this

[00:27:30] I've done.

[00:27:31] I know tens of thousands

[00:27:32] of backpacks filled with

[00:27:33] school supplies to local

[00:27:34] kids. I did 1800 last

[00:27:36] or 1700 last August,

[00:27:38] fed 3500 kids for

[00:27:39] Christmas this year.

[00:27:41] This last year,

[00:27:42] I've done thousands

[00:27:42] and thousands of

[00:27:43] teddy bears filled

[00:27:45] given to the police

[00:27:45] departments for officers

[00:27:46] to keep in their

[00:27:47] vehicles if they

[00:27:48] encounter a child

[00:27:48] that's been in a

[00:27:49] traumatic situation.

[00:27:51] Just did a few

[00:27:51] hundred of those to

[00:27:52] the Sarasota Police

[00:27:53] Department about a month

[00:27:54] and a half ago,

[00:27:55] two months ago.

[00:27:56] And the reason I bring

[00:27:57] this up is Tony

[00:27:59] Robbins calls it

[00:28:00] the science of

[00:28:01] achievement versus

[00:28:02] the art of fulfillment.

[00:28:03] Achievement is a science.

[00:28:04] You want to learn

[00:28:05] multifamily,

[00:28:06] get your butt to one

[00:28:06] of my boot camps.

[00:28:07] Go to Rod's Links

[00:28:08] and if the price is going

[00:28:11] to, you can come

[00:28:12] for $97 to one

[00:28:13] of my virtual events

[00:28:14] and I don't sell

[00:28:14] anything there.

[00:28:15] It's like two days

[00:28:16] of training,

[00:28:17] nothing being sold.

[00:28:17] You can come for

[00:28:18] $97.

[00:28:18] If the price is more

[00:28:19] than that because it's

[00:28:20] quadruple, just DM

[00:28:21] me on any social channel.

[00:28:22] I'll get you the

[00:28:23] $97 price.

[00:28:24] So, but that's

[00:28:25] a science.

[00:28:26] If you want to

[00:28:26] learn multifamily,

[00:28:27] I'll give you the map

[00:28:28] and the blueprint.

[00:28:28] You just got to go

[00:28:29] do it, right?

[00:28:30] That's a science.

[00:28:31] But fulfillment is an art

[00:28:33] and fulfillment comes

[00:28:34] from giving back.

[00:28:35] And so you've got to

[00:28:36] determine what you

[00:28:38] are passionate about.

[00:28:39] For me, it's kids.

[00:28:39] Maybe for you,

[00:28:40] it's the elderly.

[00:28:40] Maybe it's animals.

[00:28:42] Maybe it's the

[00:28:42] environment,

[00:28:43] whatever it is,

[00:28:43] give back right now.

[00:28:45] See, Paul,

[00:28:45] we've been taught

[00:28:46] to achieve,

[00:28:47] to be happy.

[00:28:48] Like we shouldn't be

[00:28:48] happy until we've achieved.

[00:28:50] I'm going to tell you,

[00:28:51] it's a play on words.

[00:28:52] If you give back

[00:28:52] in any fashion,

[00:28:53] you're happily achieving.

[00:28:54] And you know this,

[00:28:55] you're obviously

[00:28:56] a devout person,

[00:28:57] I could tell.

[00:28:58] And, and, and

[00:28:59] so, you know,

[00:29:00] don't say, well,

[00:29:01] you have money.

[00:29:01] That's why you give back.

[00:29:02] Well, you want money?

[00:29:03] Give back because

[00:29:04] that's the way God works.

[00:29:05] Okay. So, you know,

[00:29:07] you don't do it

[00:29:07] for that reason,

[00:29:08] but that's how it works.

[00:29:09] And so anyway,

[00:29:11] I just want to leave you

[00:29:11] with that final piece.

[00:29:14] Figure out what your

[00:29:15] passion about give back

[00:29:16] right now.

[00:29:16] So you are happily

[00:29:17] achieving and fulfilled

[00:29:18] and the success

[00:29:19] will come faster.

[00:29:20] Power moves to those

[00:29:21] who serve.

[00:29:22] That's the way it works.

[00:29:23] Well, that is awesome.

[00:29:24] And I had written down here,

[00:29:26] I've been taking

[00:29:26] copious notes here in the,

[00:29:28] the final question I had

[00:29:29] was to talk to you

[00:29:30] about your charity

[00:29:31] and your, in your mission,

[00:29:32] because I know you

[00:29:33] more about,

[00:29:34] you're more about,

[00:29:36] you know,

[00:29:36] the beautiful mansion

[00:29:37] on the water

[00:29:38] and the fast cars

[00:29:39] and all that.

[00:29:40] And, you know,

[00:29:40] and I think

[00:29:41] I'm not more about that.

[00:29:42] No, no, no, no, no, no.

[00:29:43] I'm more about

[00:29:44] the giving back right now.

[00:29:45] It's not about the passion

[00:29:47] and the, the,

[00:29:47] the cars and the,

[00:29:48] and the house.

[00:29:49] I'm, I'm, I'm,

[00:29:50] I'm, I'm proud

[00:29:51] of my student success.

[00:29:52] I'm proud of what I do

[00:29:53] with my foundation.

[00:29:54] I'm proud of the fact

[00:29:55] that I get loved

[00:29:55] every single day.

[00:29:56] I mean, sometimes

[00:29:57] 10 times people saying,

[00:29:58] thank you.

[00:29:59] Thank you.

[00:30:00] I get DMS.

[00:30:01] I look on the wall behind me.

[00:30:02] There's some of the hundreds

[00:30:03] of thank you cards

[00:30:03] from students I've gotten.

[00:30:05] You know, I mean,

[00:30:06] no, that's what I'm passionate about.

[00:30:07] I could care less

[00:30:08] about the material stuff anymore.

[00:30:10] No, but right.

[00:30:11] But what I'm saying is

[00:30:12] that you've, you've achieved that,

[00:30:13] you know,

[00:30:14] you get to the

[00:30:14] self-actualization,

[00:30:15] right?

[00:30:15] That Maslow talks about

[00:30:16] where really you realize it's,

[00:30:18] it's for,

[00:30:19] for happiness and self.

[00:30:20] It's about serving other people.

[00:30:21] And the more

[00:30:22] the greatest among you

[00:30:23] is the greatest servant.

[00:30:24] And that's right.

[00:30:25] And, and all these things

[00:30:26] come as a by-product.

[00:30:27] I mean, the, the love,

[00:30:29] the generosity,

[00:30:30] the, the thankfulness

[00:30:31] comes back to you.

[00:30:33] Multiplied many, many times

[00:30:35] is the way God set the program up.

[00:30:36] And I just wanted to say

[00:30:38] that, you know,

[00:30:39] from an entrepreneurial standpoint,

[00:30:40] we business owners,

[00:30:41] entrepreneurs,

[00:30:42] a lot of times get a bad rap

[00:30:44] from the world

[00:30:45] that all we want is money

[00:30:46] and all we're after is money.

[00:30:47] We take advantage of people,

[00:30:48] take advantage of employees.

[00:30:49] But the reality of the matter is

[00:30:51] it's the opposite.

[00:30:52] It's the business owner,

[00:30:53] it's the entrepreneur who is,

[00:30:55] who's employing the families,

[00:30:56] who's making an impact

[00:30:57] in the community,

[00:30:58] who's hiring and just who's,

[00:30:59] who's, who's praying

[00:31:00] for those people,

[00:31:01] who's giving to them

[00:31:02] when they're short.

[00:31:03] You know, they're doing things

[00:31:04] that government can never do.

[00:31:05] And, you know,

[00:31:07] they're just involved

[00:31:08] in people's lives.

[00:31:09] And that's what we do.

[00:31:10] No question.

[00:31:11] You know, it's interesting.

[00:31:12] I, my, I do live events as well.

[00:31:14] I just mentioned my virtual events.

[00:31:15] I do a three day live events.

[00:31:16] And we typically have a hall of fame

[00:31:18] for exemplary warriors.

[00:31:20] And it's not necessarily

[00:31:20] just the ones

[00:31:21] that have the most units

[00:31:22] or anything like that.

[00:31:22] It's the ones that we feel like

[00:31:24] give back the most.

[00:31:25] And we did 15 at my,

[00:31:27] I had a thousand people

[00:31:28] at my Orlando event in October

[00:31:29] and we did 15 hall of fame awards

[00:31:31] to warriors that we really respected.

[00:31:33] And I started to see a pattern.

[00:31:35] We do a PowerPoint for each slide

[00:31:37] and every single,

[00:31:38] for each person, one slide.

[00:31:41] And every single person

[00:31:42] does something charitable.

[00:31:43] Schools in India,

[00:31:44] sexual trafficking,

[00:31:46] veterans suicide,

[00:31:47] veterans home,

[00:31:47] every single one.

[00:31:48] I pointed to the thousand people

[00:31:49] and I pointed to the slide deck

[00:31:50] and I said, hey,

[00:31:51] that's what we call a clue.

[00:31:52] OK?

[00:31:53] Power moves to those who serve.

[00:31:55] That's right.

[00:31:56] That's right.

[00:31:56] Well, I couldn't say it better than that.

[00:31:57] That's that's awesome.

[00:31:58] Well, appreciate all that you're doing

[00:32:00] and all you're giving back,

[00:32:01] not just to the community,

[00:32:03] but to your students

[00:32:04] and really the lessons

[00:32:05] and the wisdom that you've learned.

[00:32:07] You're really leveraging that

[00:32:08] to make a significant impact.

[00:32:10] And I do appreciate that.

[00:32:11] Appreciate it.

[00:32:12] Appreciate it.

[00:32:12] It was a lot of fun.

[00:32:13] Of course, I did all the talking,

[00:32:14] so I loved it.

[00:32:15] Right.

[00:32:17] No, but I love listening

[00:32:19] and I love learning from people

[00:32:21] that have wisdom and success.

[00:32:23] To your level.

[00:32:25] Well, Rod, so we've got your

[00:32:26] we've got your links here.

[00:32:28] Rod's links.

[00:32:29] That's the best place.

[00:32:30] Subscribe to my podcast.

[00:32:31] I mean, there's a reason

[00:32:32] it's a 21 million downloads.

[00:32:33] Even if you're not

[00:32:34] interested in multifamily,

[00:32:35] I do a piece every week

[00:32:36] called Own Your Power.

[00:32:37] It's motivational.

[00:32:38] You give me five minutes a week.

[00:32:39] I will juice you.

[00:32:40] OK?

[00:32:40] And I do one every single week,

[00:32:42] you know, and there's

[00:32:42] lots of interviews as well.

[00:32:44] So that's on Rod's links

[00:32:45] and the goal setting workshops.

[00:32:46] There's a ton of free books there

[00:32:47] and they're world class.

[00:32:48] I mean, they're best in class books.

[00:32:50] They're not like some fluffy white paper.

[00:32:52] These are 200 300 page books

[00:32:54] on different aspects

[00:32:55] of the multifamily business.

[00:32:56] They're all free.

[00:32:57] So, you know, check it out.

[00:33:00] Yeah, awesome.

[00:33:00] Well, I'll be doing that.

[00:33:02] We're going to get it out there

[00:33:03] and hopefully we can bring

[00:33:04] thousands of people to the cause.

[00:33:06] I love it.

[00:33:06] So much for being on the scene.

[00:33:07] Be well. Take care.

[00:33:09] All right, Rod.
